Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Pradyuman Singh Tomar has directed the officers of State Civil Supplies Corporation to supply ration at fair price shops in time.
He has said that the accountability of the concerned officials and agency will be fixed in case of delay in supply of food grains.
Minister Tomar said that the State Civil Corporation is responsible to ensure availability of ration in 'Dwaar–Praday Yojana' at all 24,250 fair price ration shops of the state.
The Corporation determines the transporters through tender process. He instructed that tenders should be invited together for the state. Immediate legal action should be taken against the agencies which are careless or negligent in their work.
Tomar directed to adopt transparency and timeliness in the tender process. Tenderers who have not previously provided satisfactory services should also be blacklisted, he added.
The Managing Director State Civil Supplies Corporation Abhijeet Agrawal informed that after the implementation of National Food Security Act 2013, the ‘Dwar-Praday Yojana’ has come into effect from July 2014.
