Under the summer vacation workshop, Aeromodelling was organised at Regional Science Centre. The school students learned about the facts of aeromedelling during the five-day workshop.
On Monday, the workshop concluded with a lot of fervor. As many as 20 students from different schools of Bhopal have participated in the workshop to enhance their knowledge about science and its various streams.
The workshop was organized under Summer Camp organized by Regional Science Centre. Through fun learning activities, the students are exploring the unknown and unique facts about science not only attending lectures, but also practically.
The workshop was initiated with a Power Point presentation on Principles of Flying and Aerodynamics in which the principles of flying, Aerodynamics and parts of an Aircraft and their functions.
The students learnt about these basics in detail and were elaborated about it along with a live demo with a thermocole Glider like Fuse lage, Wings, Horizontal Stabiliser, Vertical Stabiliser, Elevator, Rudder, Aeleron and other parts.
They were made aware of few facts of the aeromodelling like Elevator: The part of the aeroplane which helps the aircraft for pitching or going up or coming down. Rudder: The part which helps the aircraft for Yawing i.e. to take left or right turn and Aeleron: The part of the airplane which helps the aircraft for rolling.
Besides these, on the first day of the workshop each student individually prepared a Rotocopter, Hoopster and a Paper Plane. From the second day onwards they prepared thermocole gliders using high density thermocole. To mark the conclusion, the students flied their planes and enjoyed it to the fullest.
