Sultania Infantry lines Military Station has a three acre Ecological Park which is open for local population and for people residing in the military station. It is also noticed that the area has a beautiful landscape along with serene surroundings.
Considering the footfall of more than 500 people every day, Army makes a considerable effort to keep the facilities maintained and is making an effort to develop the area into an open gym cum fitness centre. Seeing the popularity a Yoga platform, Half Basketball Court and various open gym equipments were hence placed in the park. The park was also lighted adequately for safety of users. Considering the popularity of park amongst the civilians, MP Alok Sanjar has also taken a lead and has contributed for placement of open gym equipments, play stations and maintenance from the MP local area development fund. This contribution has helped in upgrading the park to present status wherein the visitors footfall has almost doubled and is a popular recreational health amenity for personnel in and around Sultania lines. Major General TPS Rawat, Vishisht Sewa Medal & Bar, General Officer Commanding Paschim MP Sub Area endorsed the project, working on the motto of ‘Healthy one and healthy all’.
The upgraded Ecological Park was jointly dedicated to the local populace of Bhopal on Sunday by the MP Alok Sanjar and the local Military Authorities. The new asset is a true example of good civil military relations and will go a long way in improving the physical fitness of locals. While dedicating the park to locals, MP as well as the military authority have made a pledge for continued effort to maintain the park in future also.
