The Commission has told the Damoh and Hoshangabad Collectors and   District Education Officers to take necessary action to solve the problems of students they are facing in reaching their schools and to submit report of the action taken with it.

The Commission has taken cognizance over the inconvenience faced by the students in Damoh district due to the erosion of soil around the bridge over Kopra River that adjoins Sita Nagar and Bhatiya. There the children and the locals are taking their life to risk for crossing the river by putting up stair with the help of rope over the 20 feet wide trench.

Similarly, the Commission has taken cognizance of the incidence of middle school children sitting on the road to study as the road for the school at Bamuriya that is just 25 kilometers from the   Hoshangabad district headquarters.

Taking cognizance over both the issues the Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission has asked the Collectors and District Education Officers of both the districts to take the issue seriously and to take early action and inform the Commission with the action taken report. As both the issues are sensitive hence the Commission has emphasized to take immediate action cautiously with readiness.
