Sub-Engineer of Sehore Municipal Corporation Brajnandan Goswami was sentenced to one year imprisonment and fine of `1000 was also imposed on him by Special Judge RP Mishra under the Prevention of Corruption Act on Thursday.
Goswami was caught red-handed by the lokayukta police in 1987 while taking a bribe of `300 from a contractor. After hearing all the seven witnesses and examining the evidences, the court held Goswami guilty under the PCA.
