'Students should be taught values of life'

Students should be taught values of life. This was stated by Higher Education Minister Umashankar Gupta at a personality development workshop at the Academy of Administration here on Saturday. The workshop was held by Personality Development Cell. Gupta said that students must be informed about Indian culture and traditions at least once a week or month. For this, academics’ lectures should be held.

He said that apart from imbibing knowledge about modern techniques and systems, students should also adopt traditional values. Gupta informed that personality development cells have been established in colleges in the state for the first time for all-round development of students.
