Protests at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) in Bhopal came to an end as the management accepted the demands of the students. Students have been allowed to take the test. Let us inform you that in Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), students protested against the attendance. The students sat on a dharna on the campus in protest against the 75 percent attendance.
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has also taken a stand in the protest of the students.
A large number of students demonstrated against the management in the MANIT campus.
The sit-in demonstration, which started from Wednesday, took a big turn on Thursday. About three to four thousand students come in front of the main gate of MANIT. The students have been protesting since around 9 am on Thursday.
The protesting students said that in the final year the focus of all the students is on placements. Sometimes interviews take place during this time. In such a situation, it is not possible for the students to keep 75% attendance in the class.
Apart from this, CAT exams are held in November, UPSC in January, GATE in February, etc. A large number of final year students appear in these examinations. Preparation for these exams requires a lot of time, so we are demanding that the college management cooperate and withdraw this rule of 75 percent attendance.
Students say that all their hard work will be wasted if they are stopped from appearing for the exam due to low attendance. Also, the job found in the placement will also go away.
The college administration is still silent on this protest demonstration of the students. He has not given any assurance from his side.
Students also said that IIT Kharagpur, Varanasi, NIT Rourkela, Raipur, Calicut and other institutions of national importance are also conducting online examinations from home.
