A 19-year-old student of Vedic Rituals at Maharishi Vidhya Madir committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at hostel of Maharshi Vidhya Mandir under Misrod police station late on Thursday night.
According to the police, Mukesh Pateria of Sagar district was found hanging in his room at Maharshi Vidhya Mandir. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The other batchmates of the victim informed about the suicide to the school management. They told the police that around 10 pm after having dinner the victim went to his room and bolted the door from inside and later committed suicide.
Mukesh was a student of Vedic Rituals at Maharishi Vidhya Mandir for pursuing his studies from the year 2010.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police have not found any suicide note from the room where the body was found. Parents of the victim have been informed about the death of the victim.
Other students and friends of the victim would be questioned as they were present in the premises before and after the suicide committed by the victim.
After the arrival of the family members of the victim they would be questioned as during the initial probe no reason was found by the police which forced the victim to take the extreme step.
Police are not ready to confirm any reason of the death as the post mortem report is awaited told the police.
