Stringent steps to stop mass copying: V-C

To stop the menace of mass copying in private Nursing Colleges, the Vice- Chancellor of the Medical University Prof R S Sharma has come up with some stringent steps.

According to instructions sent out by him all the exams including the practical exams will be held in government colleges under the watchful eyes of CCTV cameras.

Several violations including the practice of admitting students on the promise of a nursing degree without coming to the college and without appearing in the exams had come to the notice of the Medical University Vice Chancellor. The Nursing College managements engage in this malpractice with the connivance of brokers and some staff in the Jiwaji University.

In this connection some private colleges had approached the Examination Controller of the Jiwaji University to conduct the practical exams in one of the private colleges so that marks could be given to the non attending students. On hearing about this the Vice Chancellor took the matter seriously and directed that all practical exams must be held in the Gaja Raja Medical College under the supervision of the Dean. The notification for this was sent on Saturday to all the concerned officials. The notification further says that while all the theory exams will be held in the Jiwaji University, all practical exams will be conducted in the GRMC.

Talking to the media Prof RS Sharma, Vice Chancellor, medical University, Jabalpur said that there is zero tolerance towards mass copying and the University is taking all steps to stop this unethical and unprofessional conduct.
