Strict action should be taken against drug peddlers and miscreants involved in drug trafficking as drug affects youths and rise in crimes has been recorded due to drugs and in the same manner stern action gamblers and people involved in betting and facilitating betting should be taken, said IG Bhopal Jaideep Prasad during crime review meeting at the police state control room with meeting of senior officials and station house officers (SHOs) on Thursday.
Policemen must use helmet while riding two-wheelers and if they are found without helmets action should be taken and departmental action should be taken against such policemen.
WhatsApp group at police station level to increase communication with Nagar Suraksha Samiti should be done. During vehicle checking traffic violators should be dealt with politeness.
Instructions were given to police station in-charges to conduct intense checking of vehicles by creating different check points and conduct checking till late in the night and planning should be done to curb robberies, thefts and burglaries.
The main focus of police has been the regions where women and girls visit or stay in good number like schools, colleges, hostels and woman institutions and for their safety and security.
At the meeting DIG Bhopal Irshad Wali said that special attention should be paid on areas where vehicle thefts are more and BMC, operators and owners should be make proper parking and install CCTV cameras.
He said all CSPs should conduct checking at sensitive places and public places.
The beat in charge should make their informer network strong. More efforts should be made for better support and coordination with the Nagar Suraksha Samitis.
