The Congress party has alleged that the Special Task Force (STF) investigating the infamous Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam is working under pressure and surveillance of the State Government. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesman KK Mishra in a letter to SIT chairman justice Chandresh Bhushan on Wednesday, said, “The STF is not working under surveillance of the Madhya Pradesh High Court (MPHC) and Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted on its order, on the contrary, it is under pressure from the State government and is working under pressure and surveillance of it.”
Mishra further said that the release of accused Kamlesh Rai arrested for getting selected in forest guard recruitment examination conducted by the MPPEB on recommendation of Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya’s wife Sudha Malaiya, making accused of PMT examination Raghvendra Singh Tomar government approver under political pressure and sharing of stage by Chief Minister’s absconding relative Gulab Singh with Chief Minister without getting arrested makes it very much clear that under whose surveillance is the STF working, he added.
He further said that there is concrete evidence that finance minister’s wife Sudha Malaiya got Rai selected. “According to the information available with us, the STF arrested Rai last week from Chhatarpur and brought him to Bhopal. For about 5-6 days, he was kept in custody by the STF but released him on April 19 under political pressure,” he added.
He said similarly, Tomar was made approver under pressure from none other than the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Concrete evidence has been found in the excel sheets against him and one of the main accused and former chief system analysts of MPPEB Nitin Mahindra has also named Tomar in the memorandum provided to the STF by him, he added.
The senior Congress leader alleged that an absconding accused in the PMT examination scam of the MPPEB Gulab Singh shared dais with his relative chief minister on April 19 in the State capital. last month also, he shared dais with the Chief Minister at Bareli in Raisen district, but the police failed to arrest him on both the occasions, he added. He requested Justice Bhushan to bring all these established evidence of the case before the High Court so that action could be taken against the culprits.
