In an appalling incident a minor girl was sexually assaulted by her step-father in Imliya village under Sukhi Sewania police station area on Friday.
According to the police, the victim was alone in her house on Friday after her mother went to work in the morning. Finding the girl alone in the house, her step-father sexually assaulted her and before leaving threatened her not to report the incident to her mother or to anyone and if she shares the incident he would kill her and her mother.
When the victim’s mother returned in the evening after work she found the girl traumatised. However, she braved to provide the details to her mother regarding the heinous act.
Victim’s mother decided to lodge a complaint with the police and in the complaint she had claimed that her step-father forcefully sexually assaulted and after sexually assaulting her threatened her and her mother of life.
The victim told that her step father used to consume liquor and would also beat her mother. He used to abuse the mother and daughter duo and would even thrash them frequently.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and section 3 and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences 2012.
Police said that the search for the accused step father has been started and would be nabbed soon. Till the filing of the report the accused was missing.
