I have to get into the character to compose any song,” says the Bollywood music composer Raj Aasho.
Raj Aasho who is known for his wonderful tracks like Yara Ruth Gaya, Tutak Tutak Tutiya and recent one Kamli Kamli hails from Indore and now is a big name in music industry. While in a candid rendezvous with The Pioneer, Raj shared about his struggle in Bollywood industry and his success story.
“Since childhood I love music. I got trained in classical music and so my love for music never faded away. As I completed my course, I headed for the Bollywood industry,” said Aasho. Elaborating further, he said, “For me things weren’t easy in Mumbai. People come here with big dreams in eyes, but not everyone gets his destination.”
“In my case, almighty remained really lenient and slowly I started receiving small projects,” he said.
On asking about his first break as a music composer in industry Aasho reminisces that he was called for an audition but things didn’t turned out well. “later, that audition I got a call for another audition. As I entered the office I knew something really big will happen and it was an audition for My Friend Ganesha 2. My song Yara Ruth Gaya was selected for the movie,” he said contently.
Till now Raj has composed songs movies like 'Tutak Tutak Tutiya', 'lucknowi Ishq', ‘Sweetiee Weds NRI', IJ'My Friend Ganesha'. Besides, he has composed jingled for companies like Google, Ola and Wipro. He has just released a single 'Zindagi Tujhse Kya Karein Shikwey’ which is a comeback song of actress Ayesha Takia.
Besides, he is working on a movie 'Tera Intezaar' featuring Sunny leone and Arbaaz Khan in the lead roles. One of his most talked about work is the recreation of Kishore Kumar’s hit track Hume Tumse Pyar Kitna which features Karanvir Bohra in lead role.
He signed off saying, “I would just advise the youngsters to stay focused and as the competition is at its peak bring on your uniqueness, it is much appreciated in the industry.”
