A meeting of the tour operators from the State to review the preparations for the convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) was held here on Tuesday at the Paryatan Bhawan with the Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) Ashwani lohani.
Notably, the IATO meet would be held in Indore from August 20 to 23 this year.
Madhya Pradesh does not want to leave any stone unturned to provide significant shape to the Tourism Year 2015-16 and in the order to take leading place in the tourism circuit of the country various efforts are being made and the IATO conference is one of that programme.
The ambitious national level program of convention of IATO would be a gathering of tourist agents and noted hotel operators besides package tour operators. It was decided in the meeting that all the tour operators from the state, travel agents and hoteliers would be invited to take part in the convention. The participating tour operators of the state were provided information of the international and national level tourism fairs and they were invited to participate in the proposed meet to be held in Indore.
The participants were also provided information of the facilities available at the tourism places of the state besides their suggestions were sought to increase tourists in the state and to maintain high standards of tourism facilities in the state.
The participating tour operators expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided by the MPSTDC to the visiting tourists in the state and they assured that they would give all support to make the IATO meet a grand success.
