Governor Ramnaresh Yadav, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh have extended Diwali greetings to the people of the State.
In his greeting message, Governor Yadav said that Diwali inspired us to lighten up every person’s life and urged the people to celebrate the festival with traditional harmony, enthusiasm and brotherhood. On the occasion, the Governor wished happiness and prosperity to the State and its people.
While greeting people of the State on the pious occasion of Diwali, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the blessings of Devi laxmi would remain with people of the entire State. Madhya Pradesh has achieved growth rate of 10 per cent and we will increase it further.
He said that efforts would continue to ensure that the light of development reaches the common man and the poor and appealed residents of the State to install two more lamps — one in the name of development and another in the name of daughters since our future is safe only when there are daughters. leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh in his message congratulated the people of the State on this auspicious occasion and prayed for the State’s development and citizens’ prosperity. He said, “May this Diwali bring peace, prosperity and happiness in the life of people of State.” He stressed on the need for strengthening harmony and brotherhood in the State through Diwali.
Congress general secretary and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh also extended warm greetings and his best wishes to residents of the State on the occasion of Diwali. He wished them a happy, prosperous and healthy life and appealed to them dedicatedly cooperate in the progress and prosperity of the State.
Singh in his message said that Diwali was a festival to spread light and remove darkness. This darkness is not only in and around our houses, but also in the form of evil practices, flashy lifestyle, cultural pollution and all kinds of misconduct. He said that one should not only worship lamps on the festival of lights, but also take resolve to spread the light. He appealed to celebrate the festival harmoniously. He wished that every house became bright with the lights of series of small lamps of love, enthusiasm, harmony and charity.
