labourers involved in the construction and painting work at the house have committed the robbery, alleged the victim who was held captive and robbed at Ayodhya Nagar on Thursday; Madhya Pradesh Health Deputy Director’s house was targeted by miscreants and robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs 4 lakh.

CSP Rashmi Kharya said that during the investigation it was found that one CCTV camera is installed in the neighbourhood, which recorded the activities in the corridor only and it did not cover the activities of the road.

The family has raised suspicion over the labourers who have completed the construction work which was undergoing for the past few months and painting work has been done at the time of Diwali.

The family believes that the labourers involved in the work were aware of the routine of the family and the investigation conducted so far also suggested that the miscreants were aware that the victim would remain alone in the afternoon, she added.

Notably on Monday three miscreants barged into the house of Madhya Pradesh Health Deputy Director Tulsidas Bhakoria at Ayodhya Nagar and held his wife Shashi Bhakoria captive and robbed her at knife point. The miscreants escaped with Rs 50,000 in cash and gold and silverjewelleries worth Rs 4 lakh. Before leaving the house they had threatened the victim not to report the incident to police.

The victim’s family shifted to Bhopal from Jhabua around one and a half year ago and at the time of the incident Tulsidas had gone for official work outside the city.

At the time of the incident the victim’s daughter had gone for her examinations at Gandhi Medical College and after around half an hour miscreants entered the house and committed the crime.
