In the Municipal Corporation area, the State Government will increase the funds for the development works. In the current financial year of 2016-17 State Government will increase the budget and there is proposal for house works in low costs. It will be helpful for the poor families and they will avail this facility.
This was informed by Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya. He was addressing a review meeting of different departments under which the works worth Rs 50 lakh are in progress. He has assured that Gwalior will be included soon in the smart city project.
During the meeting the Minister stressed on the quality of work stating that there would be no compromise on better quality. He said when the work starts then it should be considered with high quality and if any complaint is received related to quality, then it should be resolved soon. He stated that immediate action should be taken against the contractors who are not paying attention of good quality.
Malaiya has taken the review meeting of the under construction works of more than Rs 50 lakh with Gwalior Municipal Corporation, Gwalior Development Authority, SADA, IIDC, Electricity, PIU, Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, Water Resource development etc.
