Violating the guidelines received from New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday did not celebrate the birthday of Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
The State BJP office did not issue any message of greeting and the party leaders maintained a distance from greeting birthday wishes to Modi. Besides, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJM) only completed formalities in this regard at the DB Mall.
The 63rd birthday of Modi was celebrated in different parts of the country. The BJYM was issued written directives in advance asking the Morcha leaders and activists to celebrate the occasion in a grand way.
Earlier, several BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh were not in favour of Modi’s declaration of prime ministerial candidate of the party before the assembly elections. However, even now some leaders still could not come out of this dilemma.
