Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department Minister Sartaaj Singh here on Thursday said all the stalled construction works in Madhya Pradesh would be completed soon after coming of the BJP-led Government at the Centre.
Talking to media persons, the minister said with the coming of the BJP Government at the Centre, works of all the national highways passing through the State would be completed soon.
Accusing the previous UPA Government of giving a step-motherly treatment to Madhya Pradesh, Singh said condition of State highways in Madhya Pradesh is better than national highways.
The erstwhile the UPA Government neither gave any fund to repair national highways in the State, nor carried out repair works on its own, given the fact that State is willing to take up national highways for the repair works.
The minister said that the State Government has chalked out a plan to get approval from the Central Government to restart the stalled works in the State.
The State Government would soon put forth its demand letter before the Central Government so as to give a fillip to all the stalled works in the State, he added.
