St Mary’s Convent Senior Secondary School celebrated Christmas with joy and fervor here in the school premises on Wednesday before the start of the winter vacations.
The programme started with a Christmas message given by Principal Sr Mary CD followed by special prayer service. Celebration started with the enactment of the birth of Jesus by the students. Besides, Christmas carols were presented by students of different class groups.
The main attraction of the programme was fusion couple dance on old Bollywood songs which was performed by the tiny tots of standard first, second, third and fourth. The skit was also performed by the students on ‘the transformation of man (through his behaviour)’. The man, who was a terrorist, gets converted into a good man going through behavioural change. The students gave a message of peace with this skit.
Senior students performed dance on latest Bollywood tracks. The programme culminated with the grand entry of Santa Claus who distributed sweets to the students and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful year ahead.
The entry of Santa spell-bounded the students as they waited for him for long. His entry to the ground among the children on a bike was amazing.
A number of students, their parents and teachers participated in the celebrations.
