A special purpose vehicle (SPV) has been constituted for developing and operating the proposed Singrauli Airport with private sector’s cooperation. An order to this effect has been issued. Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation has been authorised as operating and project implementation agency for development of the airport for initial one year.
SVP’s Board of Directors will include the Chief Secretary, in-charge Secretaries of Commerce, Industries and Employment, Finance, Public Works, Aviation and Mineral Resources Development departments, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, Collector Singrauli and Director, Aviation.
Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation has been authorised to prepare detailed project report for developing and operating the project, mobilise necessary funds for SVP, appoint an advisor for developing and operating of the airport etc.
