The transfer of two police constables in Khargone by Superintendent of Police, mentioning in the transfer order that it has been issued on the recommendations of the Madhya Pradesh BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Vijay Shah, has sparked a controversy in the State.

In the order issued on Saturday, Khargone SP NP Barkade has stated that head constable Mukesh Yadav was being transferred on the directives of State BJP chief Nandkumar.

likewise, the order mentions that another constable Manish Morchale was being transferred on the directives of Shah. A copy of the order is on the social media.

Madhya Pradesh Congress vice-president Manak Agrawal alleged that the BJP was running a transfer industry in the state. Chouhan could have spoken to the Minister concerned if he wanted the transfer. However, he spoke to the SP directly and this found mention in the order. He said that Chouhan should tender resignation from his post.

On the other hand, Chouhan, who represents Khandwa in the lok Sabha, said that a parliamentarian or a legislator can make recommendations for officials dwelling in his constituency. He said that the SP should not have mentioned his name in the order.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Vipin Maheshwari on Wednesday told media persons that the transfer orders have been cancelled. However, over the issue of transfer order and its cancellation, the Khargone SP refrained from commenting on the matter.
