Sports structures are our heritage, the authorities should work with utmost seriousness for sanitation, repair and better use of the sports complex and all the officials should take necessary action to make the sports complexes ‘excellent centers’ said Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Kumar Jain at review meeting of departmental activities in the online meeting of all divisional and district sports officers of the State and gave necessary guidelines to the officers.
He said that with the aim of mentally preparing players by combining sports with sports science and modern technology, players and coaches are being given online training through Abhinav Bindra Foundation.
Education Department officials also attended the meeting. Joint Director Vinod Pradhan and B.S. Yadav and Deputy Director of Education Department Alok Khare also discussed and guided the officers.
In the meeting, Sports Director Jain directed all the District Sports Officers to work by creating team spirit and coordination with the Education Officers and said that to identify sports talent at village and block level and bring talent forward, District Sports Officer and Education Department officials are responsible. The work of grooming talent will be done by the Sports Department.
Every month in the chairmanship of the Superintendent of Police of the district meeting should be conducted, in which the active members of the sports federations, education, tribal welfare department and the concerned officials including the sports activities of the district. He informed that the principal of the schools will remain the supervisor of the youth coordinators and will work in coordination with the District Sports Officer.
