A 42-year-old man died after his scooter was hit by a speeding vehicle near SBI square under Koh-e-Fiza police station on Monday.
Police said that an injured man was rushed to Hamidia hospital after he was hit by a speeding vehicle where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Bhupendra Chouhan of Ibrahimganj. He used to run a dairy and was on his way to SBI square.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
In the accident deceased sustained head injuries which lead to his death and at the time of the incident he was alone and left the house for some work.
During the investigation the errant driver would be searched. The nearby installed CCTV cameras would be investigated in the investigation.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Shankar Nagar under Nishatpura police station area on Monday.
Police said that the deceased Rajesh Naagar was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
In the initial investigation the police have not found any suicide note or reason behind the suicide. Family members have expressed ignorance over the reason behind the suicide. Friends of deceased would be questioned during the investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC and has started further investigation.
