A 35-year-old man was killed on the spot when he was hit by a speeding truck at Padaria Kachhi under Bilkharia police station area on Saturday.
Police said the incident took place at around 9 am when the victim Bholaram Baghel was on his way to Samra village for some official work. His motorbike was hit by a speeding truck and the collision proved fatal for the victim as he died on the spot. After the accident, the truck driver escaped the spot by leaving behind his vehicle and was still missing.
Police have seized the truck and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under Section 304(A) and have started further investigation. Police have started searching for the errant driver. Baghel was employed with the forest department and used to live at Forest Department Colony at Char Imli area.
Meanwhile a second year student of private engineering college committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at Ayodhya Nagar under Piplani police station area on Friday. Police said that lallu alias Chandrapal lodhi was found hanging at his residence on Friday evening. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police have confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from his residence. The victim was a student of Bansal College and hailed from Raisen district and used to live in a rented apartment at Ayodhya Nagar. After preliminary investigation the body was sent for post mortem. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
