A 42-year-old man died after he was hit by a speeding car near Top N Town shop under TT Nagar police station area in on Friday morning.
The man on bicycle was rushed to a Red Cross hospital after he was hit by a speeding car where he died during treatment, said police. The deceased was identified as Narendra Sahu of Shabri Nagar.
Investigating Officer ASI Satendra Parmar said that the deceased was a resident of Shabri Nagar and used to work as security guard at Raymond Showroom and was hit while on his way to work.
The car bearing registration number MP04CP1831 was seized by the police but the accused managed to escape and is still at large. The car hit the deceased’s bicycle from behind which proved fatal for the deceased. The deceased sustained injuries in his head and other body parts, he added.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old married woman who fell from terrace of Chirayu hospital in Bhainsakhedi to save her seven month old baby on October 17 died while undergoing treatment in the morning on Friday.
The deceased Akhilesh Sahu died while undergoing treatment after he fell from terrace to save her seven month old baby girl Divanshi.
The deceased before her death told the police that she came to the hospital with her baby and when she bend to look from the terrace the baby slipped from her hands and unable to understand she jumped after the baby fell, he added.
In her statement she told that she came for treatment of her baby and as there was long queue she went to the terrace where the baby fell from her hands. A case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
