A 23-year-old engineering student died after he was hit by a speeding bus at Piplani petrol in the afternoon on Monday; Piplani police have started investigation.
The police said that two injured youths were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of them was declared dead.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Haroon Rashid of Bihar and was pursing engineering from a Corporate engineering college while other was identified as Tahir Ali who escaped with injuries.
The deceased hailed from Bihar. He met accident after he took turn towards Piplani petrol pump while on his way back home after college. The incident took place at around 1 pm.The bus bearing registration number MP04PA 3180 hit the deceased and the truck driver escaped the spot leaving the truck while the two were riding bike bearing registration number MP04MY1893. Police were informed and after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for post mortem.
The police registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC. The errant truck driver managed to escape while the truck was seized by the police.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old boy died after his motorbike was hit by a truck at Samardha trisection under Misrod police station area in the afternoon on Monday; his father escaped with injuries in the accident. Police said that a youth died after his bike was hit by a speeding truck at Samardha at around 1.30 pm.
The deceased was identified as Rohit Jhod while his father escaped with injuries. The deceased was on his way to home in Mandideep along with his father. He used to work as labour.The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and seized the truck.
