Even as Delhi Police registered a first information report on Wednesday against unknown persons in connection with a sit-in by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at Rail Bhavan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a veiled attack on the AAP Government.
“The spectacle presented in Delhi does not augur well for the faith placed by people in change for the better,” he wrote on a social networking and microblogging service. The protest was being led by AAP President and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was demanding suspension of five police officials who "misbehaved" with state law Minister Somnath Bharti when he asked them to take action on some matters.
The case was registered in connection with a scuffle that broke out during the agitation injuring at least 31 persons, including some policemen.
“Delhi is facing a bizarre situation. Confrontation and governance cannot go hand in hand,” Chouhan wrote earlier.
