A special cell is being formed in the district to check the crimes against women. In compliance with the orders of police headquarters (PHQ), Gwalior SP Hari Narian Chari Mishra ascertained that crime related to the woman should be reviewed on time and challan could be submitted on time.
The officer of CSP level should monitor the special cell regularly. It is stated that on the orders of central home ministry the special cell is being started in 10 districts including Gwalior. The special cell is being constituted to teach the lesson to the accused and curb the crimes against the women. The district police started compliance the orders of PHQ.
According to the information 2234 cases have been registered in various police stations in the year 2014. According to the crime Gwalior is on numbers in the state. 15 persons would be posted in the special cell including an inspector level officer as in charge. An ADPO, 3 sub inspectors, 1 ASI, 2 Havaldars, 6 constables and 1 driver have been created. Those inducted in the Cell would be imparted special training. They would not be for law and order and VIP duty. The cell Nirbhaya mobile reached the KRG College gate today and taught the lesson to antisocial elements.
Gwalior SP Hari Narian Chari Mishra informed that Preeti Bhargava has been made in charge of 'Nirbhaya cell' in addition to 4 women and jawans. They would take action against antisocial elements collected at the Girls College and schools and coaching classes. The Nirbhaya cell caught the antisocial elements and handed them to Kampoo police.
The Nirbhaya cell in charge Preeti Bhargava said that no anti social element would be spared in any case.
The SP Gwalior Hari Narian Chari Mishra said that woman police is working already now special cell has also been formed which would review the cases. A CSP level officer would monitor the crime.
