Speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Girish Gautam inspected the Omkareshwar Dam and Power House project on Friday.
On this occasion, the officials of NHDC welcomed Gautam and presented him a memento. Gautam discussed information from the officials regarding irrigation and power generation from the project.
During their stay in Nimar region, Gautam family visited the Mamleshwar Jyotirling in Omkareshwar and prayed to Lord Shri Bholenath for the prosperity and welfare of the people of the state.
During this, Gautam inspected the arrangements of Omkareshwar pilgrimage site and gave necessary instructions to the Collector and SDM for improvement.
Gautam instructed to put chains on the ghat on the banks of Narmada so that the devotees can take a safe bath and also instructed for necessary repairs in the stairs of the Ghat.
He also reached Maheshwar in Khargone district during his stay. He also visited the world famous handloom centers of Maheshwar after visiting the temple situated on the Narmada Ghat there.In his visit Gautam discussed problems with the handloom artisans and assured them to discuss with the government for their solution. Local public representatives welcomed Gautam at Maheshwar.
After this Gautam left for Thikri in Barwani district and meet MP Gajendra Patel. In Thikri Gautam visited MP BJP State Working Committee member reached Shyam Mahajan's residence.
