Total lawlessness and misuse of power was witnessed on Saturday when Superintendent of Police (SP) posted at Human Rights Commission Anita Malviya along with a few men reached the Fine Avenue Society in lalita Nagar and vandalised a duplex house.
SP Malviya along with few others broke the locks of the door of apartment at Fine Avenue and belongings of the tenants were thrown outside in the absence of the tenants and started construction work there. When the builder and tenants came to know about the incident they informed the Kolar police. The police then told the tenants to lodge a complaint at the police station.
Instead of taking action against the hooligan act by the SP and her men, she was given special treatment by the police that reached the spot after the media got the information regarding the incident alleged the tenants. In the whole incident, the duplex house that was booked by Malviya was the bone of contention. Around 10 years ago Malviya had booked a duplex apartment in Fine Avenue at lalita Nagar but she had never made the full and final payment and never contacted the builder regarding the possession.
The apartment was never completed and remained in the same state for years. Few months ago the builder Pratibha Patil rented the fully constructed portion to students. On Saturday when the students have gone to college Malivya along with few others went to the apartment and broke the locks and started construction.SP Malivya not only misbehaved with the tenants and builders but also targeted the media persons who reached the spot and when tried to ask her anarchism attitude she warned media persons to stay away from the matter.
