To observe the International Woman's Day, a social drive was carried out by Maheshwari Mahila Mandal, Bhopal in the city on Tuesday.
To promote women empowerment, under All India Maheshwari Project Swashrita about 17 sewing machines were distributed among the underprivileged women. These sewing machines are from Singer Company which were supplied with a stand and the cover.
Along with this, the scheme of a tailoring center is also being implemented to provide learning, teaching and employment to all these women. Notably, in this project, all the three circles of Mahila Mandal, Purvanchal, Madhyanchal and Dakshinchal give full cooperation.
It is noteworthy that women were also given information related to their rights and women's rights by Bhopal Maheshwari district. In the programme, State Secretary Ranjana Baheti, Sudha Jakhotia, Prachi Mundra, Sadhna Toshniwal, Uma Kabra, Asha Palod, Deepa Maheshwari, Sunita Jhawar, Amita Toshniwal, Sunita Jakhotia, Rita Jakhotia were present.
