Sita and Ram have always been an intrinsic part of our culture and their story has influenced civilizations across the globe. However, every single interpretation of this tale has been seen as the story of Ram, and Sita hardly finds a mention in these versions. This version of Siya Ke Ram gave the audience a very different version of Ramayan. It portrayed Sita as a strong, independent woman, someone who believes in equality, education, and has a stand.

Talking about the character of Sita, Madirakshi, who was here in connection with promotion of her serial said that playing the role of Sita has been extremely challenging for her. “Through Siya Ke Ram, we have portrayed a completely different aspect of Sita’s personality; that of a strong woman. She was an ideal woman, someone who stood for all the right things and did not shy away from voicing her opinions,” she added.

The actress who is born in Bhopal has an extremely special connection with the city. She said, “Bhopal is my home city. For anyone it is a proud moment to come and promote the show that they have been working on. Coming back here brings back so many memories from my childhood; right from going to school to hanging out on the lake front with my friends and family. It is the culture of Bhopal that makes become Sita so easily. She was Ram’s ardhangini in the truest sense of the world.”
