Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that Madhya Pradesh deserves encouragement for the innovations by the Finance Commission.
BJP State spokesman Vijendra Singh Sisodiya in a statement here on Sunday said that development and good governance have become their commitment and the BJP will present its proposal on the basis of developing model of Madhya Pradesh before the Finance Commission. States should be viewed and appreciated for their innovations, he added.
The recommendations of the BJP before the commission will be made by former Minister Ajay Bishnoi and Sisodia.
Sisodia narrated the list of MP Government’s contributions towards agriculture. He said that the concept of zero interest against debt for crop had associated credit to production for the first time. The initiative of `150 per quintal as bonus on support price encouraged farmers for production. He urged Centre to increase the share of MP Govt from 32 to 40 per cent of the amount that it collects as tax from States. It would be just citing currency inflation. MP protects 33% forest property of the State and cost of its management is practicable. Extra 5% provision is necessary as State has majority of Sheduled caste and scheduled tribes, he added.
Sisodia said that centre is showing step motherly attitude as more National highways in State are need of the hour because MP is overloaded due to extra transportation.
