Mobile providers and SIM distributors have called a meeting to think about ways to prevent the criminals who use fake SIM cards to intimidate and talk obscene on mobiles, at SP office on Tuesday.
As it is noticed that most of the talks, intimidation and vulgarity take place only through fake SIM cards the meeting strictly warned of the SIM distributors over issuing them without proper verification
Additional SP Crime Pratibha Mathew said that a meeting was called at SP office to give last warning to the SIM distributors and shopkeepers.
After the enquiry the police warned all SIM distributors if the SIMS is sold without documents the shopkeepers would face penal punishment and would be sent to the jail.
The gangs preparing fake passport, Gl and voter card commit crimes. They have become headache for the police.
Gwalior SP Hari Narian Chari Mishra pulled up the patrol party in-charge for conducting checking sitting in the vehicle. He reached the checking party at midnight and then reached police control room. The SP Gwalior has become strict for checking, after the incidents of thefts and loots were reported recently. He ordered that with the check points the commuters should also be checked by writing their names and addresses. In order to see how the night patrolling in-charge are discharging, he reached Gola Ka Mandir at midnight and inspected the checking points. After that he reached control room, where he found jawans relaxing.
