It was really a landmark event in St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Mhow, when the morning sun became the harbingers of happiness and glee when the Principal, staff and students witnessed the grand Silver Jubilee celebration of three teachers, Arun Kulkarni, Jyoti and Miss Daisy Sebastian, amidst the grand pendal, embellished with colourful flowers, the chanting of melodious music of ‘Welcome! Welcome!’ and the drums. The programme began with a festive fervour.
It was really an exotic moment when the SMA Band led the celebrants and the dignitaries to the dais, after giving a warm and traditional welcome of Tilak and Aarti.
The celebration started on a prayerful note invoking God’s blessing on all present for the occasion, especially the jubilarians. The Principal, Sr M Elsa formally welcomed the teachers by pinning up favours on them. A cultural programme was staged in their honour. Speeches, songs, colourful dances and a skit staged by the students captivated the audience. The jubilarians, Arun Kulkarni, Jyoti and Miss Daisy were felicitated with flowers, bouquets and gifts from The Management, the Teachers and the Students as a token of love and gratitude for 25 years of dedicated and loving service rendered in St Mary’s.
All the family members and friends of our distinguished guests were present for the celebration. The programme was followed by lunch. Miss Sandra, Mrs Sonali Amarjee, Nisha Patidar, Sadhna Parajepe, Blessy Barnes and other teachers contributed in making the function a success.
