Sub-Inspector Amrita Solanki, who had resigned after a row with an Election Observer while she was on duty, knocked on the door of Madhya Pradesh State Women Commission (MPSWC) for justice on Monday.
Notably, Solanki was attached to police line, the next day and she, pleading innocence, had submitted her papers the same day demanding justice.
Solanki, while talking to 'The Pioneer' over the issue, said, "Soon after the election observer Gaya Prasad misbehaved with me, I filed a complaint against him on November 26, through fax to the MPSWC and the Election Commission of India (ECI) providing complete details of the incident."
Solanki further said, "I called on MPSWC chairperson Upma Rai on Monday who assured me of full cooperation and that the commission would hold impartial enquiry into the incident."
Solanki said that she is satisfied after having met Rai and hopes that justice would done to her.
However, the woman sub-inspector was adamant over her decision of resignation saying, "In any circumstances I am not going to take back my resignation, I will now fight for justice and would decide my future action only after the issue is resolved."
Notably, Solanki who was posted in Rajgarh district, has resigned from her post angered by an election Observer allegedly abusing her and calling her 'Andhi' (Blind). Her resignation has not been accepted and her superiors are making efforts to persuade her to withdraw her decision. It was on November 22, when Solanki, who was checking vehicles on the highway, stopped a red beacon car and asked the driver who is in it, this angered Prasad and he started abusing the lady officer and insulted her.
