Shooting for films 'Goonj' completed

This movie is for the people through people,” says director Shweta Sharma lamaniya. The shooting of a series of 14 short films ‘Goonj’ is completed and the shooting is already packed up. Director Shweta Sharma lamaniya interacted with the mediapersons here on Wednesday and talked about these short movies.

Shweta said, “These movies are short running movies. We have raised issues which are satire on the society. These are the issues with which we encounter on our daily life. Now this is up to the audience on how they will take up this series of 14 short movies Goonj.”

She further informed there was an ensemble of 42 actors in the movies. There are not only actors from Mumbai but actors from Bhopal are also casted in the movies. “Each actor has individuality and its importance of his own in the movies. No one is more and no one is less,” she added.

Notably, the young director Shweta Sharma lamaniya, who has assisted well known producer, film maker and the current head of censor board Pahlaj Nihlani, and she has just finished the shooting of an anthology of short films, containing 14 stories from different talented writers, raising questions concerning various aspects of society, and social issues. The movies were shot under the banner of Shoolin Entertainment Private limited. This is her debutant project as a director.

The shooting of the film was carried out in Bhopal and nearby areas of the State capital as well. Also this movie will be taken to the national and international film festivals, she added. “There is a criteria of sending movies to different festivals and let’s see what happens when the film gets ready,” she said. She said that the movie will release after October most probably.

She further added saying that there are more projects in the pipeline one of which is upcoming project ‘Surat’ which will go on floor in October.
