Shah's attack on Diggy a clean chit for Chouhan

A clean chit from BJP national president Amit Shah to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the (in)famous MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, has brought cheers for Chouhan. Among other things, Shah's pat has ended speculation over a change of guard and placed Chouhan firmly in the saddle.

Shah's attack on Digvijay Singh must have come as a sweet music to Chouhan who is fighting a decisive battle of honour against the two-time former Congress chief minister.

Soon after Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh launched fresh attack on the Chief Minister convening press conferences that an FIR be registered against him for his alleged involvement in the MPPEB scam, there had been talks that there might be change of guard in the State.

However, in the past Union Minister Arun Jaitley during his visit to Bhopal had also given clean-chit to Chouhan in the same case. PM Narendra Modi did not speak out anything clearly in connection with the case, but time and again lauded working of Chouhan.

During his visit in the State capital, BJP president Shah openly told in the people representatives' convention that Congress leaders conducted press conference even in Delhi, but it would have no effect.

He clearly stated that by now only royals ruled the State and now they are unable to digest the fact that a common man is Chief Minister of the State.

Besides, Shah was seen talking to Shivraj Singh Chouhan informally on the concluding day of BJP Mahila Morcha's national executive at the State BJP office on Sunday.

later, late in the evening on Sunday, while talking to cabinet ministers in presence of the Chief Minister, Shah said that besides talking about the achievements of the State government and the Chief Minister, they should also inform people about the achievements of the Narendra Modi government at Centre.

Notably, in the past Shah had signaled that he was not happy with the affairs in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, when he reached Bhopal for few minutes, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the ministers had called him on at the airport only. There, he seemed indifferent.
