Accusing the Civil Surgeon of the District Hospital Shahdol Dr GS Parihar of administrative slackness and financial irregularities, collector Shahdol has served a notice to the former, seeking a reply within next three days.
Issued on Dec 21, the letter issued by the collector Vandana Vaidya mentioned that the officer breached government directives and made purchases in the covid19 duration.
In the month of August, the administration had approved an amount of Rs 30.82 lakh for the purchase of Diesel generator sets, Semi fowler beds and mattresses.
Actual purchase bills showed that there is mismatch in the diesel generator sets purchased and those mentioned in the administrative order issued in August, the collector said in the letter. The officer has accused the civil surgeon of not following the norms as mentioned in the MP Store Purchase Rules and Services Procurement Rules, 2015 and those mentioned in the administrative purchase order.
The DM alleged that the officer has tried extending undue benefits to the private supplier thus breached provisions of MP Civil Services (Conduct) Rules 1965. Issuing a show cause notice, the collector asked the officer as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against him by stopping his two salary increments.
