Sexual harassment accused produced in district court

The accused of sexual harassment with a three-year-old girl, AP Singh was on Wednesday produced in a district court and he was jail in judicial remand for 15 days.

Maternal uncle of the victim had accused police of hushing up the case as the accused was in good terms with the Kolar police station SHO Gaurav Singh Bundela.

Thus later on Tuesday night, on the directives of Bhopal IG Yogesh Choudhary, SP issued orders to line-attach the SHO Bundela.

Even two days after the complaint, when FIR was not registered, the family members of the victim had met DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla on Tuesday complaining against the SHO, stating that instead of arresting the accused, he was more inclined towards convincing the family members.

On the directives of the DGP, the case has been handed over to the Crime Branch that would also investigate the role of Kolar SHO in delaying the arrest of the accused.

Meanwhile, Sachin Verma of the school management has informed that as soon as the management came to know about the incident, the franchise of the school has been suspended. One of the clauses of the agreement was that if any crime takes place in the campus of if the franchisee is found involved in any crime, the franchise would be suspended. A written statement in this regard has been submitted in the police station, he added.
