A 19-year-old girl was sexually exploited for the past ten months at Karond; a case of sexual assault was registered by Nishatpura police station area on Saturday.
According to the police the victim was sexually assaulted by Abbas Khan (25) when she was alone at around ten months ago and later refused to marry her.
Investigating Officer SI GR Uike said that in the initial investigation the police found that the accused sexually assaulted the victim around 10 months ago by threatening her and later the victim got pregnant she was promised of marriage by the accused but few days ago when the victim delivered a baby girl the accused refused to marry her and threatened her not to report incident to the police but the victim braved and lodged a complaint with the police.
After the accused refused to marry the victim, she along with the family members lodged a complaint with the police on Saturday.
The accused works as a labour and went absconding after the victim delivered a baby girl. Police said that the victim used to remain alone at her house while her family members used to remain at work during the day. The accused was aware of the routine of the family members and sexually assaulted the victim when her family members were not present.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation into the matter.
