Nishatpura police has booked a miscreant for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl. The dead fetus of around seven months was removed at the hospital on Tuesday.
According to the police, hospital staff informed the Nishatpura police regarding the dead fetus and atrocity with the victim.
Shockingly, the victim was minor when she got pregnant. The family members and victim were not aware of the sexual assault.
The police have registered a case of sexual assault.
Police said that the victim was a minor at the time of the rape and at the time of operation, she had just crossed 18 years of age.
During the investigation, police found the involvement of family member in the sexual assault due to which family members were trying to hide the atrocity and wanted to abort the baby.
The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and have started further investigation into the matter.
Family members have not reported the incident and hospital management reported the incident to police. The matter surfaced after consent of father was required for operating victim.
The circumstantial evidences suggest that the family members wanted abortion without informing anyone fear spread of social stigma.
Interestingly, the victim failed to remember the atrocity she faced.
