A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a minor boy at Bank Colony under Jehangribad police station area. A case of rape was registered against the accused on Saturday. According to the police, on April 22 the victim had gone to take DVD of a movie at the house of the accused where she was sexually assaulted by the accused and he also captured the act in his mobile phone. The accused threatened the victim to keep mum over the issue and not to report the incident to the police or family.
The girl kept mum for around 4 days but she decided to report about the atrocity she faced and braved to tell the incident to her mother. Victim’s mother along with the victim went to lodge a complaint with the Jehangirabad police on Saturday and after preliminary investigation the police registered a case against the accused. A case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC and sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual offence Act 2012 was registered against the accused.
The investigation has been started and the accused would be questioned and if found involved in the heinous act he would be produced before juvenile justice court. The victim and the accused used to study in the same school and were acquainted with each other. They used to live in the same locality and would meet often but it is yet to be confirmed that the two were friends or they developed a relationship.
