In addition to these instruments, diabetic retinopathy patients reaching on the vision centres of the nearby places would also be benefitted. Sr optometrist working at the vision centres will send the pictures of ailing retina patients through IT medium installed there and retina specialist will then advice them to start treatment as per their requirement.
Some of those patients can be called to sewa sadan for complete investigation of their ailing eyes. Retina specialist presumes that the delayed diagnosis and treatment of retina patients causes the increase of vision loss.
On the basis of pictures received on IT medium, retina patients can seek the medical advice from the retina specialist and thus they can start their timely treatment. This will be a big achievement for those patients of rural areas.
