Vision 2020 Right to Sight India has decided to confer a National level prestigious award to Sant Hirdaram Nagar Bhopal based Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital.
This award is announced on achieving the goal of organisational holistic development in the field of rendering quality eye care services. Managing Trustee L.C. Janiyani will receive this prestigious award on September 3, 2022 at Siligudi, West Bengal.
It is learnt that The Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital has rendered excellent high volume, high quality comprehensive eye care services to the 1.75 crore population of Bhopal and adjoining districts like Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Dewas, Hoshangabad, Harda and Betul.
The Hospital has so far performed over three lakh Cataract and other Specialist Eye Surgeries for poor and needy patients, through three thousand free eye checkup camps in the rural areas.
Medical Director Dr Prena Upadhyaya, Cornea Specialist has performed 1918 Cornea transplantation and succeeded to give the benefit of eye sight. Since the time of pandemic Covid-19, SSEH has opened 39 vision centers in the nearby town and small cities which are based at the 200 km periphery of Bhopal, to provide super speciality eye care services to rural based patients at their own places.
