Noted social activist and Senior Journalist, Keshav Pandey was felicitated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for his outstanding contributions in the service of humanity.
Pandey was awarded a citation for exceptional services in the field of medicine through the charitable hospital, being run by him under the banner, Lokhitkari Trust.
The award was given to him by Imarati Devi, Cabinet Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh during the Republic Day celebrations at the SAF Grounds, Kampoo, Gwalior.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister commended Pandey for his support to the deprived sections of the society. She opined that helping the needy and underprivileged is patriotism in its true sense.
The Republic Day celebrations at the SAF Grounds was also attended by Divisional Commissioner, BM Sharma, District Collector, Bharat Yadav, IG Anshuman Yadav, Gwalior SP, Navneet Bhasin and Municipal Commissioner, Vinod Sharma, among others. Meanwhile, a grand cultural event with the theme, Jay Ganatantrate was organised by the Chetana Manch at DD Nagar to commemorate the 70th Republic Day of India.
Lakhan Singh, Cabinet Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh was the Chief Guest of the cultural event. Munnalal Goyal, the local MLA presided over the event while Keshav Pandey was present as Special Guest. KC Sharma, Senior Member of the society hoisted the National Flag. About 400 students from Little Angels School, Ebenezer School, Delhi Public Academy and Rishi Galav enthralled the audience with various dance and songs programs. Prizes were given to students who excelled in various fields by the Abhilasha Society.
