A Seminar was organized by Internal Complaints Committee, AIIMS Bhopal on “Awareness & Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace & Its Legal Implications” - Monday from 2:00 pm under the patronship of Prof (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Bhopal. Prof. Nishi Pandey, Professor, Dept. Of English & Modern European languages, University of Lucknow & Dr. Debashri Sarkar, Assistant Professor, National Law Institute University, Bhopal were the invited guest faculty.
Prof Dr Ajai Singh in his address emphasised that AIIMS Bhopal has zero tolerance for sexual harassment at workplace and there should be a safe working environment which is one of our fundamental rights. Prof. Dr. Nishi Pandey has explained the social and practical aspects with respect to implementation of POSH act 2013. Debashri Sarkar spoke regarding the necessity, scope and origin of the POSH act. The queries and confusions of the participants were answered at the end of the session. Around 800 participants - Faculty, Staff, Nursing officers, Security personnel, housekeeping staff, medical and nursing students of AIIMS Bhopal have attended the seminar with enthusiasm.
