The anniversary of senior leader of Communist Party of India (CPI), freedom fighter and leading leader of Bhopal merger movement comrade Mohini Devi was observed here on Sunday party’s state.
A seminar was organised for the remembrance of Mohini Devi that was presided by CPI state secretary Arvind Shrivastava and Shailendra Kumar Shaili.
While praising about the different aspects of Mohini Devi’s life like her struggle, persona, simplicity, her dedication towards workers and weak sections of society and her revolutionary attitude was highlighted by the orators in the seminar. On this occasion a decision was taken to publish a book focussing on comrade Mohini Devi’s life and her values.
Shrivastava in his presidential address said that in a feudal environment like that of Bhopal the life of Mohini Devi is an inspiration and we all must learn from it. Only with self-criticism we could develop the tradition of Mohini Devi in our lives. Convener of Rashtryia Secular Manch lajjashankar Hardenya also urged to follow the ways of Mohini. Senior writer Rajesh Joshi remembered the old days of Mohini Devi, when he was a child and he promised to compile all his memories in a book.
