Villages protect the cultures and traditions of our country, said a youngster Himanshu Khushwaha, a volunteer of Go Rurban youth camp.

Go Rurban is an initiative to let the urban youngsters experience the rural life. The participants from six different cities of the country were a part of the event and enjoyed the village life to the fullest. The participating youngsters shared their experiences at Gandhi Bhavan with each other.

The participants shared their experiences at Basand Guwan village. This camp was organised with the  collaboration of Ekta Parishad and Ansh Happiness Society. The camp was the second camp in Go Rurban series and the first camp was held at Bhimkoti village, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh.

The main objective of this camp was to strengthen the relation between Urban and Rural society through exploring the rural lifestyle. The camp was started on December 30 where all the participants reached Basant Guwan from Bhopal, where they were welcomed in most traditional Indian way.

Himanshu Kushwaha from Bhopal described his experience and said that the cities are developing day by day and villages are taking a back seat in society. “After this camp we have become enlightened and we understand that the people of the villages are our root and without them, we have no existence.”

Priyadarshana said, “Nowadays we fight for different pleasures. Keep upset and life remains in those troubles. But above all, there is a problem of "water, forest and land". Diagnosis of these basic problems of life is nonviolence and should be solved in a peaceful manner.”

In this programme Rajagopal PV (Founder Ekta Parishad), Rakesh Diwan (senior journalist), Anuradha Shankar Singh (Indian Police Service) were present as the chief guest.
